Maps (Level 3 Mountain Safety and EMS)
You will need to have the following map for the course: IGNTOP 25 Les Trois Vallees, Modane 3534OT (GPS Compatible). Please make sure that you purchase it before the pre-course meeting. It is available in Courchevel or online from Stanfords in the UK http://www.stanfords.co.uk/.
Equipment Hire (Level 3 Mountain Safety and EMS)
Should you need to hire any equipment for this course (transceiver, shovel, probe, touring skis) in resort then try Le Camp de Base in the Forum in Courchevel 1850. Tel +33 (0) 479 080 991.

When the course is confirmed, a link will be sent to pay for the slope fee before the course starts. This will be £30 per student per day.

Student lift pass will be charged at £25 per day. Bearsden ski club members are free of charge. Please purchase your lift pass on day 1 of your course.

Please collect from the Reception Desk on day 1 of your course. Tell reception staff you are on a BASI course so they can issue you a lift pass at the correct price (£15 per day / £60 for a 4-day course for non-members of the Club).
Ski Hire, for non members is £15 per day, if required.

Ski Level 1 - 28 Feb & 01 March, 07 & 08 March, 2026
We hope to run this course on Cairngorm, however, if we are unable to do so due to the weather or limited ticket sales, the course will be run at Lagganlia outdoor centre, the trainer will confirm, before the course starts.
Loch Insh – £25.00 per person per day – can be purchased at the venue
Lagganlia – £25.00 per person per day – to be paid directly to Lagganlia in cash on the first day of the course
(Please take a packed lunch as there are no eating facilities at this Centre)
Glenmore Lodge – £25 per person per day – to be paid to the Trainer in cash at the venue
Cairngorm – can be purchased online.
Accommodation – The Nethy Bridge hotel offer a special skier and snowboarder rate. Bookings can be made via their website click here.
Highland Hideouts have local luxury self-catering lodges to choose from and offer BASI members a discount (terms and conditions apply).
There is very good, catered accommodation (but limited availability) at Glenmore Lodge. Please contact them directly to enquire on 01479 861256. (NB: Glenmore Lodge has a policy not to accept under 18s in their accommodation.)

Lift Pass – Please visit the ticket desk and pay the total amount for your pass on day 1 of the course for the Level 1 Course. Tell Firpark staff you are on a BASI course so they apply the correct price.

If you do not pre-purchase your lift pass you will need to purchase an international pass (to allow access into Italy) for some of the courses and you can check with your Trainer on the first morning if this will be necessary.
Accommodation – Youth Hostel Zermatt are offering BASI Members a 15% discount for any stay with half board during the BASI training period.
