The Vallnord area consists of 2 resorts in the tax free principality of Andorra. These are Pal, and Arinsal. Arcalis is another resort in this side of the valley but since 2019 is on a separate pass from Vallnord. However please note that no training for the instructor courses will take place in Arcalis, you will be training in Arinsal and Pal. The main village where everyone will be based is Arinsal. The low tax and duty free status of Andorra has always made it an affordable destination where you can still have a pint after a day on the hill without breaking the bank. Arinsal is no exception and is the most cost effective resort in Andorra.
COVID UPDATE: Please note that when walking around on the streets in Andorra, masks are compulsory and not just in shops, bars or restaurants.
Welcome Meeting
The Welcome Meeting will be held online, the evening before your course is due to start.
Your Trainer will contact you directly to arrange a time.
NB: The welcome meeting is an integral part of your course which we strongly recommend you attend. It is a chance to get to know your Trainer and fellow students as well as gain valuable knowledge about the weekly programme including timings, weather and piste information. The meeting will explain the course material and you may be asked to prepare something for the next day (possibly a short teaching session or further reading depending on the course). It is also a chance for you to speak to the Trainer about any issues, worries or questions you may have.
Off Snow Lectures
The Evening lectures will be held online. Your trainer will give you further information with regards this on the 1st day of your course.
If you cannot make the welcome meeting then you should meet your BASI Trainer at 08.45 am on the morning of the first day at the BOTTOM of the main gondola in town.
