| This is a 5 day on-snow training and assessment course, complemented with in-depth lectures and seminars related to ski teaching. - Communication skills
- Approaches to teaching
- Teaching styles
- Understanding differing learner needs
A major element of this module is the assessment of the ability to develop your peers technical performance. Therefore it is recommended that the Technical Training module is attended prior to the Teaching Training module, unless students feel confident in this area. PLEASE NOTE: All students attending the Technical or Teaching Ski Teacher courses will be required to bring to the course the following safety pack; a transceiver, a snow shovel and an avalanche probe, with a small rucksack to carry them. Students will be asked by their Trainer to carry these with them on days that they are likely to go off-piste. |
