Qualification Information: Alpine Performance Coach Level 3
*200 hrs Coaching Experience must be completed between successful completion of the Alpine Development Coach Level 2 Qualification and commencement of the Alpine Performance Coach Level 3 course. Hours must be submitted to the BASI office 2 wks prior to attending these courses.

Pre-requisites
The following pre-requisites must be met before attending an Alpine Performance Level 3 Course. Students must have:
- Alpine Development Coach Level 2 Qualification
- Alpine Level 2 Instructor Qualification
- 200 hrs Coaching Experience*
Equipment Requirements
Slalom skis & Giant Slalom skis. The exact FIS specifications can be found at the following website: www.fis-ski.com
As a rule of thumb, the manufacturer's shop race model normally conforms but please note in particular the length and radius requirements. These can be hired locally but in limited numbers.
Please ensure that you have a crash helmet, suitable for both slalom and GS as well as appropriate padding for clearing slalom gates (this may include pole guards and shin pads).
Students are expected to wear suitable clothing that allows them to ski though race courses uninhibited.
Sunglasses must not be worn when skiing through the race course.
Students are also expected to have their equipment well prepared throughout the course and will need to bring the appropriate waxing and sharpening equipment to do so.
Outcome
A Level 3 Coach is able to lead a team of Level 1 and 2 coaches delivering an annual programme.
With experience the L3 Coach will be able to assist at National Team level.
Coaches are able to set the environment to achieve a specific outcome and match exercises, drills and feedback to achieve the required outcome both safely and efficiently.
A good working knowledge of rules and regulations.
Ability to lead a group of athletes on a training camp.
