About Us
Established in 1999 by BASI trainers Becci Malthouse and Jaz Lamb, BASS Pro offers a unique approach to professional development. Nowhere else will you find a team of BASI trainers, BASI Demo team members, BASI National Education Team members, experienced BASI L4’s, as well as a team member working on the world’s first Phd in ski teaching.
We offer BASI L1, L2, L3 technical and teaching ski modules and a range of pro programmes designed to support your journey through the qualification pathway.
Your Coaches
The BASS Pro Programmes are delivered exclusively by experienced BASI trainers, with a deep knowledge of the BASI qualification pathway, who are passionate about sharing their expertise with others.

BASI Business Partner
BASS Pro is the only BASI Business Partner licensed to offer BASI courses in the Portes du Soleil. In fact, BASS Pro is one of only two organisations trusted to run BASI courses in-house with its own team of trainers.
Tailor-Made Programmes
We don’t believe that one size fits all. Training needs are particular and unique to each individual and are shaped by your personal circumstances and goals. All of our Pro Programmes and BASI courses are modular so that we can fit to your needs and your lifestyle.

A Real Ski School
BASS Pro is the professional development arm of BASS Morzine & Les Gets ski school. We strongly believe that having real experience working with learners of all abilities and ages is a vital part of developing as a teacher. Training with our coaches and shadowing with our clients provides the real-world experience needed to take your career to the next step.
Independent Learning
BASS Pro suits independent learners at all stages of life who prefer the freedom to arrange resort logistics to meet their own personal circumstances and budget. We don’t offer a ‘one-stop-shop’, GAP type course but we will help you find what you need.

Our Training Community
Alongside our training programmes, our community is one of our greatest resources. Share teaching ideas, have a group of like-minded folk to ski with outside of training sessions, benefit from the knowledge of Morzine ‘locals’ who know the resort like the back of their hands. We are a team that supports each other both on the snow and off.
The Resort
At only 75 minutes from Geneva airport, Morzine is one of the easiest Alpine resorts to access for short or long visits with a wide range of accommodation options.
Most of our training takes place in the Morzine / Les Gets ski areas but we also have access to Avoriaz and the full Portes du Soleil which encompasses 14 resorts in both France and Switzerland.
Ski Pass
In most situations we recommend the full area Portes du Soleil ski pass. An extra bonus for anyone aged under 26yrs old, full area season passes are available from only €391.

BASI and Education
BASI qualifications are aligned with Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) and the European Framework (EQF) which provides opportunities in higher education and job applications in many fields outside of snowsports.
