The Edge Clinic (Austria) offers you the chance to gain the confidence and practical experience needed to become a Ski Instructor with very affordable Level 1 and Level 2 Ski Instructor, Career Break & GAP Courses.
Our training courses are ideal if you would like to become a professional Ski Instructor and want to learn more and improve your skills in a safe and fun environment whilst you are working towards passing the assessment.
People learn and train in different ways and by keeping the structure of the courses uncomplicated, we aim to pass on the all the skills and enjoyment that are integral to being a more competent skier or Ski Instructor and believe that by coaching in an effective way, together we will succeed.
How does it work?
There are many Training/Coaching course options to choose from:
- 1 Week (5 days on snow) "Any Time Training/Coaching"
- BASI Level 1 Ski Instructor Training & Assessment
- BASI Level 2 Ski Instructor Training & Assessment
We also offer students the ability to build their own flexible Training or Assessment package by offering various courses, accommodation, meal and training options to suit your budget and requirements. For more information please contact us.
Ski instructor courses are primarily an on-snow practical training sessions with video analysis, snow sports theory, avalanche awareness training and a fantastic opportunity to help you with the foundations of a second language – German.
Along with the Ski Instructor training you will be given the option to work alongside Ski Instructors from our local ski school. This opportunity will help you gain ski school operational experience, teaching experience, gaining those all important ski school hours, working with adults and children and practicing your language skills.
Training/Coaching is Monday to Friday with the weekends generally free
Any Training/Coaching groups sizes are kept to a minimum to ensure that the right amount of focus is spent on each student. The staff will assess each student on an individual basis and construct a personal development programme that will aim to achieve the optimal outcome.
Finally, if you are not sure about the requirement level, we can arrange to meet you at a designated UK ski slope to discuss any concerns you may have.
Where are we?
The Edge Clinic (Austria) courses are located in the FIS World Cup ski village of Zauchensee in Austria’s largest ski region (Ski Amade). The village has all the amenities that you would expect and the local bars and restaurants are cheap and affordable. The resort attracts a diverse and varied selection of international visitors that ultimately provides the village with a lively atmosphere and typical Austrian après-ski nightlife.
